Heiniger Saphir Vs Artero Hit

Similar looking clippers, the Artero Hit costs £280 & the Heiniger Saphir around £300, which is best ?

Heiniger Saphir
Now that I know the price this is a ridiculous comparison. The Saphir is the best all round small animal battery clipper, with a good case, reliable motor, good blade hinge, 2 lithium batteries, nice gearing and drive lever.
The Saphir is the true successor to the classic Andis AGR and is powered by a reliable motor Heiniger uses in battery horse clippers.

Artero Hit
Sadly the Artero is not such a good clipper, its an OK clipper which is basically a copy of the Saphir. The case is OK, the blade hinge is good, the motor is OK, the gears and lever are OK and the single battery is OK.

Conclusion
The Aretro is not as refined and well made as the Saphir, spare parts for the Saphir are cheaper and more easily available and Heiniger’s greater experience as a manufacturer show. However the Artero does work OK.
